In many cultures, it is understood that our relationship with our ancestors continues even after they are no longer physically here.  By using practices that honor and maintain that relationship, we can access healing, support, and guidance from them.  Unfortunately, it is also true that our ancestral lineage can be a holder of intergenerational trauma, dysfunction and pain.  Through these same practices we can successfully navigate this hurt to connect with and access those aspects that are relevant to our healing, lives and development.  We can learn to access and accept the support connected to our authentic needs while setting limits to those things that harm us.
